Now We r familiar with what are all the basic things needed before making clothes here.Getting Started Now let us know how to handle the sewing machine . This step is more important before making clothes. As this help us to learn how to feed the clothes and how to turn corners and all.
Step 1 :
Take a Paper and draw straight lines like shown below .Now try to sew along this straight lines . At first you may not get the line perfectly.But after doing it few times you will able to sew on the line .. A few misses are quite fine ..
Do this step until you get satisfaction.
Step 2 :
Now Draw some rectangles or squares as shown below. And try to sew along this. After reaching corner keep the needle down, now raise the presser foot , turn the paper 90’s degrees and sew along. Start from the biggest rectangle and move inside. As the biggest one is easy to start. This step will help us to learn to turn the corner.
Step 3:
Next step is to trying to sew in cross. Draw triangles like shown below and try to sew along those. Turn the corners as mentioned above, instead of turning 90 degrees, turn to suitable angle and sew along. This step will helpful for sewing darts and cross lines
Step 4:
Now the final step. Draw Circles as shown below. and Try to sew along this. Start from the biggest circle. First you may not sew in circle. Keep practicing until you can sew circle . a few misses are pretty fine.This step will helpful to sew surves , necklines, etc.,
Practice these step until you can sew decent. These steps will minimize the errors while making clothes. Now we are ready to make clothes.. Sew and Enjoy!!!!!
